We're a cooperative of artist printmakers using a shared workshop. We provide a friendly, supportive studio in which to create hand-made art prints. We're situated in Larkhall, on the ground floor, within easy reach of the city by local buses. There's on-street parking in the area if you travel by car.

The studio offers facilities for a range of intaglio techniques. We have an acid cupboard, with mixes suitable for copper and zinc etching, plus a walk-in aquatint booth. Relief techniques (linocuts, wood-cuts, collagraph) are catered for, plus basic screen-printing. We have two large flat bed presses, a Rochat press suitable for use with metal plates, and a Bewick and Wilson press for other techniques (relief plates and monotypes). We also have two screw-down presses for printing smaller relief images.

Transition to less toxic methods
We're conscious of the health and safety implications of some traditional etching processes. Recent graduates applying for membership will probably be familiar with less-toxic methods using virtually non-toxic household products and acrylic resists.  Essential materials for this are available in the studio and members are actively encouraged to use them.  Individual guidance can be provided. We welcome contributions and suggestions from members to improve practice in this area.

We stock a good range of printmaking papers, including Somerset and Fabriano, which are sold to members at cost price, and we supply black ink and other basic resources and equipment for printing, free of charge.
