Bio

My main inspirations are landscape, natural forms, textures and colours translated into impressionistic or abstract images. Many ideas spring from travels in Europe, Australia and Canada. More recently, I have renewed a love of painting in oils and acrylics and also create abstract designs with dyes on silk.  Printmaking does not have to be an exclusive medium and I enjoy combining different media to produce colourful monotypes and collages rather than traditional editions. I use safer methods for etching (eg. acrylic resists and saline sulphate etch) and am currently experimenting with the creative possibilities of photopolymer etching.
